Gpg Tools

3-Jan-2008: Gpg Tools 1.2.1 released

Gpg Tools is a Mac OS X graphical interface to the GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) utility. It provides approximately the functionality of the old PGPtools, and is freeware.

Version 1.2.1 has the following improvements:

  • Added Intel mac compatibility (universal binary)
  • New Preferences dialog
  • Gpg Tools can now optionally remember your passphrase for the length of time specified in the prefs dialog
  • Fixed a bug with Tiger and the "Unable to calculate the encoding of this text" dialog
  • ".gpg" is now understood as a file extension. It's treated the same as ".pgp"
